White House Denounces 'Democratic Hoax' as More Epstein Estate Images Released
House Democrats have published a new tranche of what they termed "disturbing" photographs from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—combined with another 70 released later on Friday account for a tiny fraction of the almost 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is examining the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking offenses.
High-Profile Individuals in the Photos
Included in the prominent personalities seen in the opening set are celebrities including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Statement
The White House addressed the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of selectively "choosing" the photographs for political purposes and to "attempt to fabricate a false narrative."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a White House spokesperson remarked, insisting that "the current government has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by frequently urging disclosure, making public thousands of pages of records, and demanding additional probes into Epstein's liberal connections."
Democratic Lawmaker Comment
The photographs were disclosed devoid of explanation, but as stated by a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's connections to the rich and powerful.
"It is time to end this White House concealment and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he declared in a statement.
The publication of these documents comes as the House panel pressing on with its probe into the Epstein case.
