The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
