Esteemed Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
American actor Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved TV shows such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The comedic improv actor passed away at his residence in Los Angeles recently following treatment for a cancer diagnosis from 2022 onward, as reported by media reports.
"Pat saw everyone as a friend - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his family stated in a message.
They added that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
A Prolific TV Career
His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He also had a recurring role on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He starred as Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a host famous for delegating burdensome jobs to his guests.
In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on a variety of hit series, such as:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His cinematic roles encompass "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Off-Screen Life
Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.
He was involved with a comedy group of six known as "Beer Shark Mice".
"Finn taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils over the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find a person who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, fellow actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted on social media.
Pat Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
